How to upload your photographs

1. Please try to upload "landscape" photographs which are of the correct size (216 pixels wide by 154 pixels high) or larger as this will help to maintain the quality of the photographs you upload.

2. The photographs that you upload must not exceed a file size of 2 mb as our upload facility has a 2mb limit and will reject uploads for files over 2mb. This limit was increased in February 2008 from 1mb to 2 mb and should now cover any photos taken with an 8 Mega Pixel camera.

3. The photograph filenames must end in either .jpg or .jpeg. Photographs with file names ending in (.gif .png .bmp .tif) will not be accepted for upload.

PHOTO HELP:

Option 1: WINDOWS XP.
If you have Windows XP, view the image in your documents folder, right click on the image and select Open > Microsoft Photo Editor. Open the image, then click on Image > Resize. Resize the image to 216 pixels by 154 pixels, or as near as possible. Finally rename the image and save as a JPEG/JPG image.

If you wish to resize your photographs to 216 pixels wide x 154 pixels high online, you could use this web site facility. Use their resize option labelled "on your own" and you can resize your photographs/images online and then save it to your pc before uploading to Algarve4me.
